So, schools are closed in my country because of the virus. And it has been like a week since I’m free but I’ve been bombing reading. Just saying.
Also, please take care of yourself. With this whole thing going around, don’t panic, just stay inside as much as possible and read book
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a Word of Worlds. It consists of answering three questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Let’s get into it!
Stargirl – Jerry Spinelli
The movie should be out at any moment and I want to watch it so badly! This is a reread for me. I read this book in middle school and I remember enjoying it, but I don’t remember a lot of what happened.
I even forgot about the rat, how could I??
This is a super light read. I’m flying through it and I think that by the time this post is up I would have finished it. It’s just extremely soft and cute.
This is my Psychology/Self-Help book for March and April. (I’m trying to read a Psychology/Self-Help book every two months). I probably should’ve started with Dale Carnegie’s most popular book – How To Win Friends and Influence People. But this is the one that I own so this is the one I’m going to read.
I’m like 15 pages in so I don’t have any thoughts for now. But I hope it will be very informative.
Tenebrasco (The Pearl Wielder Trilogy #1) – Hannah Reed
I’m a bit stuck with this one. I just can’t seem to get past the 40% point and I just don’t feel like picking it up. I feel bad because it’s a book that an author reached out to me for a review and it’s the first time that happened. Anyways, I will push through until like 60% and then I will decide what to do with it.
A Study In Scarlett – Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
I literally flew through this book. I remember being on page 23 and suddenly, 2 hours later, I was on page 150. It was suspenseful and interesting, but I feel like it was too rushed and contained in a small number of pages. I feel like Sherlock figured out everything too quickly. And, if we’re talking about Sherlock, oh my gosh the arrogance! Man…man. I mean, the arrogance of every detective in this book! Poor Watson.
Loveboat, Taipei (Loveboat, Taipei #1) – Abigail Hing Wen
Oh, man… This was one of my anticipated books of 2020 and I’m sad to say that it was deeply okay. It was really enjoyable at times while at some points I was like: this can’t be happening. Mostly, it was okay. I feel so in the middle with this one because I kinda scared about what was happening, but I also didn’t really care. I liked Ever and some of the other characters but I just felt like there were so many tropes and nothing actually new. I really liked the ending tho and I’m happy I read this book, even if just because of that ending.
The Final Empire (Mistborn #1) – Brandon Sanderson
So I’m currently in the middle of a review for this one and most of it it’s basically just: I SHOULD HAVE SEEN THAT COMING and KELSIER, NO! YOU LITTLE FRICK! and HOW CAN THIS BE SO GOOD?!?!
Basically, I really enjoyed it. I get the hype for Sanderson and I’m 100% going to continue the series.
So because I finished the audiobook for Loveboat, Taipei I have to pick another one and I think I’m gonna go with The Female of The Species by Mindy McGinnis. I heard it’s a great book with feminist themes and since March is International Women’s Month, y’know…
Also, for my next physical read, I think I’m going to start Spin The Down by Elizabeth Lim. I recently bought it and I’m so so excited to read it!
So, this was all for today, guys! Thank you so much for reading!!
What are you currently reading? Are you enjoying it?
